FAQ's

1. Does the body fill with water?: No. Only the tank gets filled. The body is inserted into an opening into the tank. (See Assembly Instructions for more information).
2. How stable are they?: They can be rocked when hit hard, however we have yet to see one even close to being knocked over by blows. Our 1/2 inch thick walled chemical storage grade tank fills with 250 lb. of water or 300 lb. of sila sand. We developed the triangular design of the tank because the triangle is the most stable geometric shape (i.e. tripods, pyramids, etc.).
3. Do your free-standing models have play?: Yes. Our free standing Warriors have movement. Our design allows the arms, leg, and body approximately the same amount of play as traditional wall-mounted mooks as opposed to a dead man mook.
4. Do your Wing Chun models have the same arm and leg heights as traditional ones?: Yes.
5. What about custom orders?: It is possible to make some alterations, however, an additional charge might be required.
6. Can the height of the Sidekick be adjusted?: Yes. Using the suggested placement on dummies (as indicated by pilot holes under cover) is optional. You may elect to mount the Sidekick Base higher or lower on a wall or the Warrior as desired.
7. Will they last forever like a wooden dummy?: Yes. With proper care there is no reason why your Warrior should not outlive you.
8. Is there a guarantee?: Extensive experience with our dummies in dojos has proven their superior durability. Although guarantees for this type of training apparatus are not routinely extended, we will replace any major component within the first year of purchase should breakage occur during normal use.
9. What if my dog chews the leg?: Every individual component is available for purchase.
10. Can I get a non-padded dummy now and then buy the padded cover later?: No. Each cover is custom upholstered onto the dummy and cannot be added on unless the body is shipped back to the manufacturer (shipping & handling costs would be additional).
